Terms & Conditions

UDriveMe Ltd (Reg: 13301875) is the driving school administering the provision of driving lessons, booking of driving tests and allocating you to a self-employed subcontractor who is a registered DVSA driving instructor.

 

New students lessons must be paid for at time of booking, future lessons must be paid for a minimum of 1 week before they are scheduled to take place. Any lessons cancelled at less than 2 working days notice will be charged in full to your account. Working days are Monday through Friday excluding Bank Holidays.

 

We reserve the right to amend driving lessons if we are unable to keep the appointment in the event of pre-booked driving tests, mechanical breakdown, sickness, pre-booked holidays or due to immovable traffic. During some lessons the instructor may have a small dog in the car; She is very well behaved and is secured in the rear of the car. If, for any reason, you would not like her to be in the car, then just let us know and we will mark your student record accordingly.

 

Our Responsibilities to You

1. To provide a booking and lesson management App (via Total Drive) for use, so that you can see your driving lessons and progress, your instructors diary and purchase lessons.

2. To communicate with you clearly and in a timely manner at all times.

3. To ensure that all lessons are structured to meet the your evolving needs.

4. To ensure that there is always a clear understanding, between you and the instructor, of how risk will be manged throughout the lesson.

5. To assist you with booking your driving test, once the instructor believe that you are correctly prepared.

6. In the event that, approaching your test date, your instructor feels that you are not ready to take your practical driving test, due to safety reasons, then you will need to move your test date into the future to allow you to properly prepare or make alternative arrangements, as you will not be allowed to use the instructor’s car for your test.

 

Pupils responsibilities

1. To have a valid provisional or full UK driving licence and to provide your driving licence details and a licence check code (Licence check code can be obtained by visiting https://www.gov.uk/view-driving-licence)

2. You must satisfy the driving test eyesight requirements; and be able to read a number plate from a distance of 20.5m or 67ft. You must satisfy the DSVA requirements regarding residency and eligibility requirements.

3. You must make us aware of any health issues either mental or physical which may affect your ability to drive a car.

4. You must attend your lessons on time. Failure to do so will result in you losing time and the driving school/instructor has no obligation to add time to the end of your lesson.

5. You must accept that you are driving on your “Your Provisional Driving Licence” during lessons and therefore any driving offences you commit could result in you receiving a fine and/or points on your licence

6. You must not be under the influence of drink or drugs at any time during your driving lessons.

7. A professional approach is required by the pupil and no abusive behaviour towards the instructor will be tolerated. The driving lesson will be terminated and any monies paid will be forfeited in such an event.

 

Complaints and Refunds

We take any complaint against the service that we provide seriously, as we aim to provide an excellent service throughout. If you feel we have let you down or you feel the need to cancel lessons that you have booked, then please e-mail dgrant@udriveme.co.uk to request a refund or lodge a complaint.

 

Please provide as much information as possible so that we can investigate fully. We aim to investigate all matters as quickly as possible so will respond within 2 working days.

 

When you pass your driving test, you can request a refund of any unused hours, adjusted in line with UDriveMe Ltd lesson package pricing.

 

Privacy

UDriveMe Ltd is committed to protecting your privacy. We will only use the information that we collect about you lawfully in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998.

Any personal information which we hold to process your booking will be held securely in accordance with the law, and will not be sold or passed on to a third party.
